How to play Russian Solitaire
Take a moment with Russian Solitaire before moving to another game. Build four suit foundations from ace to king. Choose a clear next step rather than rushing through the instructions. Choose a comfortable screen position before beginning. Use the example below to understand a decision.
Yukon-style deal, same-suit building, no stock. Free solo play, no wagering.
Try a deliberate move
After a move, check what changed. Decide which rule explains the new state before acting again. Use the example to check your reasoning.
Your goal
Build four suit foundations from ace to king. An attractive position is not enough unless the goal is met. The example below illustrates a decision.
Step by step
- Move any face-up card and its tail onto the next higher rank of the same suit. Kings fill empty columns.
- Select a face-up card and then the destination pile or Empty slot.
- Use foundations where available; full Spider or Scorpion runs clear automatically.
- Undo reverses a choice. New deal shuffles again.
Controls
Click or tap cards and piles. Wide tableaus scroll inside the game; use Undo, Hint and New deal where shown. Use the control method described here for this activity. A new-round button replaces the current round.
A useful example
A heart 6 fits a heart 7, not a spade 7. Use the example as a guide rather than a substitute for reading your board. Keep the controls nearby.
Watch out for this
Random deals are not guaranteed solvable. A hint is a legal move, not a winning strategy. A different version of the game may use a different rule. Locate the buttons and input area before beginning a long round. Use the on-screen labels to avoid an accidental restart.
