How to play Mini Golf

Start Mini Golf by looking at the playing area and its controls. Sink all three holes within twelve strokes per hole. Choose a clear next step rather than rushing through the instructions. Use the opening round to become familiar with the layout. Use the example below to understand a decision.

Before your first action, say what you are trying to achieve. Then compare the result with the goal. Refer to the controls when needed.

Your goal

Sink all three holes within twelve strokes per hole. An attractive position is not enough unless the goal is met. Take a moment to understand the current position.

Step by step

1. Aim a stopped ball.
2. Set power and putt.
3. Wait until it stops before another shot.
4. Use Next hole after sinking.

Controls

Touch aim, angle/power sliders and Putt. A careful first action helps you become familiar with the layout. Make sure you are interacting with the game rather than the surrounding page.

A useful example

A soft final putt can sink where a fast crossing would not. Apply the same reasoning to the position in your own round. Read the matching step again.

Watch out for this

The hole accepts only a sufficiently slow ball. Take a moment to reassess the position before continuing. Watch the feedback after an action. A message can explain whether the input was accepted or whether a rule needs attention.
